Our Process To Perfection
Did you know solid paintwork involves more than just a brush and paint?
This is oftentimes a surprise to homeowners who select us and observe our process for the first time.
At Angel’s Fine Finishes, the vast majority of our projects follow the same principles to ensure a high quality and consistent product.
Our technique delivers the same quality as those stunning interiors & exteriors you see in magazines and social media posts — and it takes more than a brush and paint to achieve that!
Here’s our usual 8-step process:
1.
The worksite is prepared by covering all areas with canvas drop cloths, painter’s plastic, and tape. This protects your floors and furniture from any elements.
2.
We start off by inspecting your home and patching ceilings and/or walls as needed. A relatively level surface is the foundation for the next steps.
3.
If a project involves woodwork, wood filler is used on any areas that may have chipped away or split over time; this leaves a flat area that is free from cracks.
4.
After filling in the ceilings, walls, and trim, sanding is used to refine surfaces and help the primer attach. Sanding may also occur prior to the final coats of paint.
5.
Our team lays on a coat of primer to give the paint finish something to bond and lock onto. Most jobs require just one coat, sometimes two.
6.
Caulking is meant to give a sleek and polished finish. Caulk will waterproof and seal the cracks between two or more joints—this requires a steady hand!
7.
When all of our rigorous preparation is done, the paint color and finish of your choosing is applied to complete the look.
8.
All work is examined to find small imperfections, if any, and remedy them. We guarantee all our work and we’ll keep at it until you’re satisfied with the final result!
